Experience:
Mr. Mouritzen’s seventeen years of experience has encompassed all phases of project management, including budgeting, scheduling and design. Projects have ranged from large commercial and industrial projects to multi-story office and residential structures to restaurant and video rental chains and has been consultant to Papa John’s Pizza, Hollywood Video, Pizza Hut de Mexico, and Baja Fresh restaurants.
He has extensive knowledge of all major construction materials, methods and systems including steel, light gauge metals, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber. His knowledge extends to heavy mechanical equipment ducting and plumbing supports, as well as conveyor systems which was gained through his experience of large manufacturing facilities, hospitals, hotels and research facilities. In addition to the design of new buildings, Mr. Mouritzen has performed structural engineering services for modifications to existing structures such as the Tri-City Hospital in Oceanside, California and Scripps Hall at the Bishops School, in La Jolla, California, and Chula Vista Middle School.
Mr. Mouritzen is fluent in Spanish and has managed the design and production of construction documents in Spanish for several projects located throughout Mexico, including projects for Mitsubishi, Pizza Hut Restaurants, Price Club and Industrial Plants for Mitsubishi and Bose. He has also performed peer review services for projects in Mexico for Sony and Exide Electronics, Inc.
